WHY IS THIS UPDATE IMPORTANT?
Line 6 has release the latest helix update 3.01 for its family devices hence request you to upgrade your device to the latest firmware to address some the issues. Currently Helix Native is excluded from this update and the update for helix native will be release sometime later this month.
WHAT’S NEW IN HELIX UPDATE 3.01?
As per Line 6, Helix Update 3.01 addresses –
- Audio output issue experienced during setting up certain blocks in the signal chain.
- Glitch delay had some static noise and the same has been fixed with this update.
ANY NEW ADDITIONS IN HELIX UPDATE 3.01?
No new additions of AMP or CABS or Any Effects included in this update. This update mainly fixes the audio output issue plus glitch delay abnormalities. In addition to that Line 6 has mentioned they incorporated minor fixes and improvements, there has been no details regarding these minor fixes or improvements.
SHOULD I UPDATE MY HELIX TO LATEST HELIX UPDATE 3.01?
My recommendation would be to keep your device in sync with the latest helix update 3.01 since it will ensure your device performs as per the standards mentioned by Line 6 and also avoid any kind of risks in future. I have upgraded my helix LT to latest firmware version 3.01 without any issues or challenges. You can refer the below video on upgrading the helix to 3.0, the same steps has to be followed while upgrading to helix update 3.01 version.

- Upgrade HX edit to version 3.0
- Unplug any flash drive or SD which is connected to the computer/PC/MAC.
- Ensure there is no power fluctuation.
- Ensure the Helix is connected to the PC using good quality USB Cable.
HOW TO CONFIRM THE HELIX IS UPDATED TO LATEST VERSION 3.01?
While rebooting Helix you will see the latest firmware information over the display screen. You can also check the helix firmware version on the HX EDIT screen on your computer, it located at the bottom(center) of the screen.
