Hey Folks, Greetings, I have created this article for accessing Artist Presets in Line 6 Helix 3.0. Artist Preset is available only post upgrading the Line 6 Helix Firmware to the latest version 3.0. Also I did not find any information about footswitch naming/marking, hence I have provided the footswitch marking in the picture. I hope its helpful :).
Post upgrading the firmware of Line 6 Helix to version 3.0, there are two method to access the Artist Presets,
METHOD 1 – ACCESS ARTIST PRESETS BY FS COMBINATION ~ 5-10 MINUTES
- Back up your presets, Impulse Response and turn off Helix/HX.
- Perform the following procedure:
- Helix Floor/LT:Â While holding foot-switches 7 and 8 (two leftmost switches on the bottom row), turn on Helix Floor/LT. Wait for “Will restore…” to appear and let go
- Helix Rack/Control: While holding knobs 3 and 4 (two middle knobs below the screen), turn on Helix Rack. Wait for “Will restore…” to appear and let go
- Helix Native: Click the gear icon in the lower left corner, click the Presets/IRs tab, and click “Restore Factory Setlists”
METHOD 2 – MANUALLY IMPORTING THE ARTIST PRESETS ~ 15 MINUTES
If you are uncomfortable following Method – 1 then you can follow the following steps to manually import the patches by downloading the same on your desktop or any desired folder. Frankly speaking I have not found any forum where I can download the Artist Presets, hence I have exported from My Line 6 Helix and zipped the file and posted on my website for you all. Just follow the below steps to download the Artist Presets.
2. Post unzip you will see two folders inside primary folder as shown in below picture.
3. Inside “Artist Presets – Individual Presets, you will find 59 individual patches you can import one by one or by selecting them all to desired patch location on Helix using Helix Edit Software.
4. Inside “Artist Presets – Setlist”, you will find one setlist file(.hls file) which you can import using Helix Edit software.
**NOTE WHILE PERFORMING ABOVE STEPS ENSURE YOU TAKE BACKUP OF YOUR EXISTING PATCHES AND IMPULSE RESPONSES. NO ONE WILL TAKE THE RESPONSIBILITIES OF YOUR MISTAKES HENCE READ THE STEPS AND FOLLOW THE SAME ACCORDINGLY.
